Eastern Park Community Garden

Eastern Park Community Garden is situated within Eastern Park, Warragul; entry is via Cambridge Drive. The garden covers a half acre of land and was entirely built by volunteers throughout 2014. Eastern Park Community Garden offers the opportunity for all people from Baw Baw Shire to come together to plant, grow and harvest food, where knowledge and skills are shared, friendships are made, where people from different backgrounds, and of different ages and abilities come together to create community.

The community garden is run by volunteers and is able to offer programs to schools, TAFE’s, playgroups and kindergartens.

The garden teaches skills in propagation techniques, horticulture, urban agriculture and promotes sustainability and good health.

Depending on weather and availability, volunteers are normally in attendance every Tuesday from 9.30am. Join us to share gardening knowledge, learn new skills, join the working bee, attend workshops and enjoy the garden atmosphere. Everyone of any age and ability is most welcome.
